People tell Sage things they wouldn't tell anyone else. We built MySage to honour that trust. Your conversations stay on your device — Sage learns from them and lets them go. Your insights stay. Your words don't.
1. Who we are
MySage is developed by Stillpoint Studio ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how the MySage iOS application ("the app") handles your information.
2. What data stays on your device
MySage is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Your name and focus area preferences
- Memory Vault insights (AI-extracted observations about your patterns, values, and goals)
- Quest progress and history
- Streak data and reflection history
- App preferences and settings
All locally stored data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
3. Conversations
Your conversations with Sage are ephemeral. Chat messages are held in memory only while you are using the app and are not written to persistent storage on your device. When you close a conversation or leave the app, the raw conversation text is discarded.
During a conversation, message content is sent to Anthropic's API (Claude AI) to generate Sage's responses. Anthropic's API does not retain conversation data after processing. See Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/privacy.
4. Memory extraction
Periodically during conversations, the app sends a summary of recent messages to Anthropic's Claude AI to extract key insights (such as your values, goals, or recurring themes). Only the extracted insights are stored in your encrypted Memory Vault on your device. The original conversation text is not retained.
5. What we do NOT do
- We do not store your conversations on any server
- We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not track your behaviour across other apps or websites
- We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry
- We do not create user accounts or profiles on our servers
6. Third-party services
MySage uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes conversation messages to generate responses and extract memory insights. Anthropic does not retain data after processing. Anthropic Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status. RevenueCat receives only your anonymous App Store transaction data (no conversation or personal content). RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- OpenWeatherMap — provides weather data based on your approximate location (city-level only, when location permission is granted). OpenWeatherMap Privacy Policy

7. Location data
If you grant location permission, MySage uses your approximate location (city-level) to provide weather-aware and location-aware conversations. Location data is sent only to OpenWeatherMap to retrieve current conditions. Your location is not stored on any server or shared with any other party.
8. Subscriptions
MySage offers a monthly subscription ($12.99 AUD/month) with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are processed entirely through the Apple App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment information.
9. Data deletion
You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen within the app. This permanently removes all locally stored data including your Memory Vault, quest history, preferences, and streak data. Since we do not store data on our servers, there is nothing additional to delete on our end.
10. Children's privacy
MySage is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
